Summertime Blues (mit Band)
* * *
Summertime
And the ease is deceiving
A-hundred-and-twenty
Degrees Fahrenheit
The sun is scorching
And the forests are burning
And shimmering air
is blurring and skewing the sky
Nowhere is cool
And the heat is increasing
Streets are melting
And the rivers run dry
Crops are withered
You risk a heatstroke or sunburn
The fishes are dead
And the bees too weary to fly
Some folks say
It's a beautiful season
With the sun and the light
And the parties in warm summer nights
But that glamour's a guise
Of dystopia luring
A try to deny
It's getting harder to survive
Why don't you ask
Why don't you ask "Why?"
