There's a light in the distance
not easy to see
faint, but yet sparkling
trying to shine on me

But I'm still wondering
how to get by
There ain't no way to tread
and I got no wings to fly


Who knows how to get there
who knows the way
Who can travel on time
and jump over days

And is there a chance
to make it anyway
It might just be a promise
it's too far away


There's a soul in the distance
not easy to find
hidden but alive
trying to touch my mind

But I'm still wondering
how to make my light shine
I sense someone's somewhere
who should have been mine
