The fog is frosty around the gluvine stall, it is dark and cold outside Folks go shopping at the mall, the shops are bright with light. There are sales and presents and lovely things like plastic toys or diamond rings. Nobody needs them, that is true But it's fun to look and helps to kill that winter blues. Chase that winter blues away The winter solstice night is long, there are parties every day. That is good for socializing, to laugh and dance the chill away. The people are nice and eat delicious things and enjoy a lot of pretty colorful drinks, wearing fancy clothes and trendy shoes so they can forget and overcome that winter blues Chase that winter blues away In the streets big flakes whirl in the storm, They're empty, hostile, feel forlorn. But the pub's alive with cheerful songs folks can listen to or sing along. The drinks are hot, the mood all right, that place is good for a winter night. There's friends, and games, a quiz, and booze to warm you up and to defeat that winter blues. Chase that winter blues away |
