1. Magic Creatures
by Corny Held
2:43 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars, bass
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics All the creatures of the night
that you never see
Gather in the forest
around a huge old willow tree
In the clearing in the wood
Where the rainbow ends
When the moon is full
There is a magic creatures band

And all the elves are dancing
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee
Hi diddle die and diddle de dee" -
And then they want to dance with me

When the sun is going to set
And the dark is falling
All the creatures of the night
Have a place to meet
In the clearing in the wood
Magic choirs callingv See them in their magic light
And all around is peace

And all the fairies dance
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee
Hi diddle die and diddle de dee" -
And then they want to dance with me

In the forest very deep
Where the rainbow ends
Everyone is having fun
And all of them are friends
Full moon, magic light
Take them by their hands
Feel the drive and join
The magic creatures dance

And the witches dance
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee"
The spirits of the trees dance
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee"
And the leprachauns are dancing
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee"
All the dwarfs are dancing
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee"
And all the giants dance
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee"
And all the elves are dancing
around the willow tree
Singing "Hi diddle die and diddle de dee
Hi diddle die and diddle de dee" -
And then they want to dance with me

2. My Lagan Love
by Corny Held
3:38 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitar

lyrics Where Lagan stream sings lullaby
There grows a fairy fair
The twilight gleam is in her eye
The night is on her hair
And like a love-sick leannan-sidhe
She has my heart in thrall
Nor life I owe nor liberty
For love is lord of all.

And often when the beetle's horn
Hath lulled the eve to sleep
I steal unto her shieling lorn
And thru the dooring peep.
There on the cricket's singing stone,
Beyond my reach she stirs the fire,
And hums in sad sweet undertone
The songs of heart's desire.

If there was one wish she'd grant me
I'd show her what I'm dreaming of
In her world I would want to be
I dare not ask her for her love
For she's immortal, I must go,
'Tis leaving Love and light
To feel the wind of longing blow
From out the dark of night.

3. Riverdance
by Corny Held
3:22 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Axel Wagner: drums
Jürgen Grewing: e-guitar
Volker Piske: bass
Corny Held: vocals, a-guitar

lyrics The lady of the river
her eyes were green
her hair was blue
and her skin aquamarine
She was wearing pearls and silver on her hands
I think she was a mermaid
but she could dance.

She was a queen and she let her hair float
around her shoulders and around my boat
Her streamline body
sparkling bright
whe she moved along the waves in the pale moonlight

One day at noon
she was singing a song
when the lord of the ocean
came along
He looked like her
except that he was male
with his watery shine and his fishy tail.

And that's the way it is meant to be
He fell in love with her
and he took her to the sea
Never again
I have seen them here
When the moon would dance on waves
I felt she's near

Lady of the river
dance with me
Lady of the river
cold and sweet

4. Downtown
by Corny Held
4:44 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars, bass
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics It was Indian summer in the city around
The air warm and fresh, and full of sounds
I just went for a walk in the park downtown
There's lake and a bar and some ants on the ground

I went down, down, down - down downtown
I went down, down, down - down to relax
I went down, down, down - down downtown
I went down, & found - I was behexed

By the lake was an elf between the huge willow trees
He was riding a dragonfly to fish in the streams
But there was no fish, no thing to be seen
& the light of his eyes, it was flickering green

His eyes were a-glaze, his face was a maze,
& his grief, it was hard to believe
He had caught only fear, the water was clear
What he said, I could hardly hear

He'd been trying to fish for love and faith
and respect and hope and a wish
for peace and good days, for joy and fun,
but those fish had gone, there were none

The elf calmly said with a tear in his eye
This lake must have been poisoned, it is sure gonna die
Looking puzzled, he vanished without saying goodbye
& dusk slowly fell with the moon passing by

I went down, down, down - down downtown

I went down, down, down - to enjoy the light
I went down, down, down - & found just night
I went down, down, down - down to laze
I went down, down, down - & found just haze

I went down, down, down - to sit in the sun
I went down and found - it wasn't really fun
I went down to breathe - late summer air
I went down, down, down - & now I feel scared

5. Shadow Folk
by Corny Held
2:27 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars, bass, flute
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics Have you seen the light
deep in the lake deep in the waters
Casting shades around the site
to dance with Moonman's daughters

By the lake in the shade
magic's in the meadow
By the light of the night
magic's in the shadow
Shadow folks in shadow cloaks
magic folks forever
Shadow world, better world
peace and empathy matter.

The fairies light the stars and
torches made of dragon tallows
Casting shades a round the place
to send them fiction fellows

By the lake in the shade
magic's in the meadow
By the light of the night
magic's in the shadow
Shadow folks in shadow cloaks
magic folks forever
Shadow world, better world
peace and insight matter.

Have you seen the sorrow
in the gleaming eyes of devils
When in the fires of the dark
reality unravels

In the twilight of the flicker
midday views are shallow
Find a truth behind the trees
moods becoming mellow

Shadow world, shadow folk
shadow world forever

6. Snow Queen
by Corny Held
6:33 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, a-guitar, flute
Michael Hrziwnak: bass
Axel Wagner: drums
Holger Klemm: e-guitar

lyrics She was wearing metal earrings and her eyes, they were all ice
Icicles were in her hair, her dress was long and white
So cool she was, her body and her heart were made of snow
Her beauty so deep frozen that it never seemed to go.

And she was sparkling, when she danced on ice
Sparkling - in the pale winter sunlight
Sparkling, through the falling snow
sparkling - in the winter moonglow
Sparkling -
She was his queen, the snow queen of his dream

She lived inside a castle, the northwind blowing through
with translucent walls in pale light blue
Before the ice-flowered windows dark world in white got lost
Her wishes of snow crystals, her soul it was all frost.

And she was sparkling, when she danced on ice ….

He decided to go anywhere to find her there
Where is was and how he should, he didn't even care
His love deep and longing, his heart was all aglow
He knew that he would make it, and he wasn't scared of snow.

One day he really saw her, so great was his desire
he fell in love at once, she set his soul on fire
But warmth was not her world, she started melting in the heat
And soon became a water pool around his feet.
the castle put the fire out as it came on dripping down
He felt like screaming and he frowned, but quickly he got drowned
And all you see there now is a mighty iceberg on the ground
Mysteriously gleaming blue with iceworks all around

and it is sparkling in the dance of snow
it is sparkling in the winter moonglow
sparkling - in the starry nights
sparkling - like the queen of ice

And she was sparkling, when she danced on ice ….

7. Nightlife
by Corny Held
3:20 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics All kinds of creatures that hide in the light
Come in the night, when it is dark
they are alive
First an idea then they are here
born of your mind

Manticores, elves, centaurs, and fairies of spite,
sylphids, mermen, and unicorns,
dragons and sprites
Whatever you can imagine
may give life to your nights

All kinds of creatures that hide in your mind
Come in the night, dance in your world
in the moonlight
First an idea, then they are here
they come to life

Werewolves and dragonfish, monsters and rocs
pegasus and shadowshapes,
and phoenixes and toads
Whatever you can think of
may be part of your ghosts

They hide in the gloom, they pretend, they're not real
Yet their mystery's there to revealwhat you feel
intangible like wind,
you can hear what they sing
lucid like lyrics, strange visions they bring

insatiable like fire, consuming your eve
till the witch of the morning tells them to leave
Noone knows where they go then,
which fortunes they weave
before you must arouse them, only you set them free

All kinds of creatures, invisible sights
Come in the night,, ride on your mind,
unfold their might
First an idea, then they are here
see what you find

8. Senses
by Corny Held
3:16 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars
Michael Hrziwnak: bass
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics One night a full moon came on shining down
A lady rode upon the rays
So transparent she stood upon the ground
and sparkled like the milky ways
and she said:
Why don't you believe in me
and you don't even know my name?
But she was made of haze, I had no chance to see
her in that shape again

Now I want to
find, find out what's behind
find, find out more
find, find what's behind
I want to find a hidden door

One day a lilly opened up ist head
A fairy sailed along ist smell
and iridescent like a summer breeze
Out of her eyes an opal dewdrop fell
and she breathed:
Why don't you believe in me
and you don't even know my name?
But she was made of scent, I had no chance to see
her in that shape again

There was a river giggling towards a lake
A wizard floated through ist tune
So magic hovering above the waves
He chanted some eternal June
and he mumbled:
Why don't you believe in me
and you don't even know my name?
But he was made of sound, I had no chance to see
him in that shape again.

9. Luck
by Corny Held
4:32 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Axel Wagner: drums
Corny Held: vocals, a-guitar, bass, flute

lyrics I know a lady, she got no age
She's looking young & old in a way
has dinner at midnight, breakfast at noon
She can talk with the trees
& make love with the moon

She'll have time for rest in eternity

Nighttime is her time, she doesn't sleep
She laughs when she wants,
when she's sad she can weep
Life is too short to drowse it away
& she can always dream in the day

She can do magic, you are spellbound
her hair can turn red, & then yellow or brown
She loves everybody & doesn't ask why
she can make things happen,
she's living on life

She can't explain the thoughts she's led by
Some inner voice tells her how to decide
& she will not have to justify
years full of lies on the day she will die

Happiness can make you sleep well at night
But she wants trouble to fill her life
Gaining experience, she likes her luck rough
eternal peace will come early enough

For how can you judge
what you hadn't lived through
emotions that have never been inside you
She understands there is more than one mood
she never cares about evil or good

I know a lady, she needs no age
years aren't numbers, aims aren't ways
My lady isn't waiting for chance
where she got in, she'll get out again

She'll have time for rest in eternity

10. Dreamland
by Corny Held
2:59 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: vocals, guitars, bass
Axel Wagner: drums

lyrics Oh, Dreamland, you lovely, you wonderful land,
you beautiful crown of all the lands and realms
And if I ever find I am in the Promised land,
I'd try to return to your magic elms
It's there I want to live, it's there you never die.
It's where the things are made and where new ideas are born
It's just the way you want, it is Paradise

It's there I want to live, it's there you never die.
It is where things are made and where new ideas are born
It's just the way you want, it is Paradise

Oh Dreamland, you mystical, neverending land
You rule what is real, with a subtle force.
Your trees and birds and mountains are always there at hand
Of peace, hope, and wisdom, you can be the source.
Your forests are the deepest, your sun burns hot or mild
Your strength is so unfailing, my wishing well, my mead
Your spirit rest and longing, it creates new life

Your oceans are the deepest, your creatures tame or wild
Providing me with power and just everything I need
Your time is a river that creates new life

11. The Merman
by Corny Held
4:29 min.
(English)
Short Demo-Clip

Corny Held: lead voc., a-guitar
Axel Wagner: drums
Martin Wesolowski: bass
Gnther Ernst: percussion

lyrics I went down to the ocean in the late afternoon
I sat down by the water which reflected the moon
It was black under mist and I couldn't look through
Just like ink flowing over the white of my shoes
It was always in motion and always alike
There was no chance for changes to give light to the night
Nothing would happen, and it tortured my mind
and while I was waiting I was drowning in time

I was watching the water foreboding some fear
When I saw a cute little green figure appear
His hair was long and blue, and when I looked in his eyes
I could see tenthousand stories from a thousand years passing by
He was wearing a shirt, made of shells and of weeds
and shyly he smiled, that I had to be pleased
His large hand reached for mine, and he said: follow me
I will show you what people are too blind to see

And the merman and I, we then came to a town
where the people were dead, but walking around
They did not look at us, nor back, nor ahead,
and apparently they didn't even feel bad
and the merman explained: "Where they are they will stay
for they have never learned how to find a new way
Some folks don't feel when they drown, it is strange,
and in their sunken world they all wait for a change

I wanted to waste my time watching the water at the seaside
Waiting for changes
